ARYAN KHAN CASE: SUNIL PATIL NAMES BJP LEADERS LINKED TO DRUG BUST

Sunil Patil, who was accused by BJP leader Mohit Kamboj to have been the middleman in the drug case, has claimed that he has no connection with the NCB or the NCP, and the zonal officer Sameer Wankhede. Kamboj has earlier stated that Patil was the ‘master-mind’ of the drug case and was involved with the NCP, a party he left in 2016.

“The real master-mind behind the Aryan Khan case is BJP leader Manish Bhanushali, Dhiraj Bhanushali, Niraj Yadav, and Sam Desouza. The tip-off of the rave party at the cruise ship was given by Niraj Yadav from Madhya Pradesh who is close to senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. When this case happened, I was not in Mumbai. I was away in Ahmedabad for my personal work,” Sunil Patil said, saying that the BJP was part of the entire conspiracy. “I was in Ahmedabad, but Manish Bhanushali and Dhiraj Bhanushali called me to Delhi and pressurized that I should record the video message in favour of NCB. When I refused to do so, they beat me up badly. They even told me that they have big connections which would help them come out from this crisis,” he added.

On Sunday, the NCB called in Aryan Khan but the latter did not show up citing fever. “Due to slight fever, Aryan Khan will not be coming”, said an NCB official on the matter. The agency also summoned Arbaaz Merchant and Achit Kumar, both of whom reached the office.

SATIRE DRIVEN, NON-MELODRAMATIC, FOCUSED, AND METICULOUSLY SCRIPTED; THIS MOVIE IS A WINNER THROUGH AND THROUGH!

How can one dislike a film that entertains throughout? In english, this movie title means ‘The engagement is on monday’.  There is no surprise in the plot line; all of it is revealed in the title.  The story is about the making of an engagement and the joys and troubles involved.  Senna Hegde pulls off a regular story with exceptional craft. The highlight of the film is its climax.  The climax offers no pomp and show, no tearful departures, no melodramatic breakdowns, no revolutions, no rebellions, no glamour, not even the promised engagement. This film is a must watch not because it is extraordinary, but because it is very ordinary, and the brilliance is entirely in the balance the filmmaker maintained throughout.

KURUP, THE MOVIE; DULQUER’S ATTEMPT TO CONQUER CINEMASCOPE FILMMAKING LEAVES AUDIENCES EMOTIONLESS

THIS PERIOD MOVIE COMES WITH COMPLETE GRANDEUR; GRAND SETS, STYLE, A GOOD CAST, LEAVES NO STONE UNTURNED IN PRODUCTION, BUT FAILS IN ITS EDITING AND COMPOSITION. DQ DOES NOT BECOME KURUP, KURUP BECOMES DQ.

Dulquer remains Dulquer, we recognize him and his methods in all his movies and he repeats himself once again.  The actor lacks gravitas in his dialogue delivery and intonation.  Can style and glamour make up for lack of method acting in a role like this?  Did we expect more?
